I really liked this slogan – if you click on it you can go to Feminists For Life where you can buy bumper stickers etc. with this slogan on them.

The slogan reminded me of what Mother Teresa said in her Nobel Lecture when she won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979.

“… I feel the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a direct war, a direct killing – direct murder by the mother herself. And we read in the Scripture, for God says very clearly: Even if a mother could forget her child – I will not forget you – I have carved you in the palm of my hand. We are carved in the palm of His hand, so close to Him that unborn child has been carved in the hand of God. And that is what strikes me most, the beginning of that sentence, that even if a mother could forget something impossible – but even if she could forget – I will not forget you. And today the greatest means – the greatest destroyer of peace is abortion.”

I love that sticker and the quote from Blessed Mother Teresa as well! She quotes one of my favorite Old Testament verses as well. There used to be a small statue of a child with a large hand protecting it…

Feminists for Life also has another great catch phrase – “Women Deserve Better than Abortion.” Mother Teresa was right – abortion is the greatest destroyer of peace, but beyond that, it is also the ultimate exploitation of women.
I like your blog and have added it to my blogroll.

Thanks Deborah!

[…] unwanted unborn and newborn babies. She spoke out often against abortion. See our previous post, Peace begins in the Womb. The following is a quote from her about the Unborn Christ […]

The single most politically correct thing done today is aborting babies. The fact that our taxes fund these killing clubs and a now international industry sickens me. Why? Because I came full circle to the realization that the single most heinous act of my life was to insist that my wife have an abortion. Yes – I was young and naive but there was still little excuse. I grieve over this often when I see my son, knowing I killed his sibling brother or sister.
I followed the driver a vehicle with the bumper sticker “Peace Begins in the Womb” to find this site.
Kudos to this website and those who created it – from a someone who believes that masculinity has become the second most politically incorrect word in the land because of its direct relationship to the number one politically incorrect word, absolute.
